Responsorial psalm for the Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ (Corpus Christi). Taken from Psalm 110, the response has a masculine, military rhythm, symbolic of the marching orders given to all disciples whether clergy or laity — that we are all priests called to serve in our own ways, called to seek first the Kingdom of God.

“You are a priest forever, in the line of Melchizedek.”

(This was composed for the Sunday of 5/29/2016).

Usage Notes:

Sing response twice at start and twice at the end. Discard the military rhythm if there are only a few instrumentalists.
Another option is to use a snare drum for the rhythm during the responses.
